Brittany Atkinson spent years talking herself out of being an artist. A born and raised Texan and a boy mom in Austin, she kept setting painting aside for the rest of life. It didn't stay set aside. Today she works in acrylics, oils, and charcoal, painting abstract female portraits drawn from the women who raised her.
