I'm the real-life mommy lawyer behind the book Mommy Lawyer. When I'm not lawyering, writing books, or chasing kids around, you can find me playing interior designer, trying out a new recipe, or planning our next beach vacation. People often tell me, "I don't know how you balance it all." I laugh and tell them, there's no such thing as balance in this house, but we sure do chaos and crazy pretty well. My life is full to the brim with blessings and jam-packed with people I love. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
This big, full life definitely has its challenges too - being a working mom isn't always sunshine and sprinkles! I wrote Mommy Lawyer to address some of the real-life struggles I was facing as a young associate with three babies at home. This book helped me teach my boys about my job and engage with them about the ups and downs of having a working parent.
If you're a working mom too, I'm glad you're here! And I just want to say - I see you. I get it. And you should be proud of yourself. Really proud. You are setting an example for your kids that it is possible to pursue a dream, have a career, and have a family too. We can do it all. And do it well! The days are long, and the to-do lists are even longer, but you are doing it mama - and your kids have a front row seat! Mommy Lawyer helped my family, and I truly hope it helps your family too!

This is such a cute book! Not only is it a fun read with beautiful illustrations, but it teaches kids an important message- that even though mom may be busy with work at times, she is always thinking of her kids and the important work she is doing is ultimately for them! This book is great for moms who aren’t lawyers as well! It explains the job of a lawyer in a way that is fun and easy for a child to understand! I really enjoyed reading this book with my son, and we are excited to see what “Mommy Lawyer” will come up with next!
I absolutely love this book! As a mommy lawyer I’m always trying to explain why mommy has to be away or why I miss certain events and this book not only explains to my son why, but let’s him visually understand the reasons. A wonderful book for all working moms!
I loved Mommy Lawyer, and the message it sends to children (and parents!). We should continue to encourage women to pursue their careers and dreams without guilt and be able to have a happy, healthy family while doing so. Its also so important to teach growing children about the juggling act working parents face, and Mommy Lawyer does this in a fun and engaging way!
